The Fort William Curling Club is proud to offer a large variety of leagues that accommodate a wide range of curlers. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re young, old or somewhere in-between, we are sure to have a league suitable for you.

Monday Night - Doubles
The Open Doubles League is returning to Fort William Curling Club for the 2023/24 season. The league will run on Monday’s and is an open format league, allowing any combination of male/female players.
Doubles is a fast-paced variation of Curling that involves lots of rocks in play! Curlers no longer need to get up and sweep their own rock after throwing (although they can if they are so inclined and coordinated). The partner can sweep the rock after it is thrown; they are not required to hold the broom in the house. The game is fun to play! The league will follow the Curling Canada mixed doubles rules.
Games are 6 ends or 1 hour & 15 minutes in length. There is a strong focus on draw weight and rock positioning as well as communication with your partner.
Games will be played on Monday with various start times depending on the teams signing up. This league accepts anyone from beginner to competitive.
Each team will be permitted one “power play” per game.
Saturday Night - Wreck League
Get your friends, coworkers and family to put a team in our Wreck-reational League. This league is for those looking to have fun while curling. New to the game – it doesn’t matter – instruction will be provided the first 2 weeks to make sure you are ready to be a curler! This league is to let loose and have a social time while curling on Saturday.
The league is for you if you are curling for the first time or want to try a different position from your regular league. Having fun is a priority.
Cost is $781 per team (includes tax but not does include NOCA fees of 19$ per person) – so get a minimum of 4 people to curl and a maximum of however many you want to join the team, but only 4 can be on the ice each week. Music plays while Curling!
Gather your team and signup! If you are a current member of any league along with a graduate of the Adult Learn to Curl – this league is extremely discounted! This league provides snacks and a free drink each night included in the fees. Saturday night is the night to be at the Fort William Curling Club – events will include Karaoke, Trivia, Music Bingo and games with prizes.
This year the league will be the whole season, please refer to calendar for the dates. Scores will be tracked, and teams will be placed in squads to match skill and fun levels!
Tuesday Night - Business Women's League
The Fort William Curling Club Business Women’s League (BWL) welcomes women of all ages and skill levels to join us! Whether you are new to the sport or experienced, we offer something to meet your needs.
The league runs Tuesdays @ 5PM or Wednesdays @ 5PM (Note: New Start Time!). You choose the time slot you wish to play (or you can play on both dates/times). The league starts in October and runs through to April with a banquet to finish off the season!
