We're thrilled to kick off The World Series Bonspiel! As you know, the World Series is always the first bonspiel of the season at Fort William Curling Club! We may all be a little rusty on the ice, but we come together in the spirit of comeraderie and good curling!
This spiel offers 4 divisions (A, B, C, D) for a mix of skill levels and hopefully gets us all ready for the busy curling season ahead. Being the first spiel, it is an opportunity to reacquaint with your fellow curlers. This party is sure to bring down the house!
What to Expect
- Draws & Updates: Draw schedules will be posted around the club. We’ll update the main board after each game.
- Home Run Derby: After your first game, take a draw to the button to establish tie-breakers.
- Snacks & Drinks: After your first game, head to the table with your sheet number for a snack courtesy of the restaurant. Inside your team package, enjoy a complimentary pitcher of beer (Michelob Light) from Labatt! Underage players can redeem for any non-alcoholic drink.
- Saturday Morning Goodies: Coffee and pastries await you in the morning, and from 11 a.m. on, dig into unlimited hotdogs. Popcorn will be available at tables all weekend for snacking.
- Game Results & Prizes: Report scores at the main table, and don’t forget to log your Home Run Derby results! Winning teams earn $$ – be sure to collect your prize!
