The Fort William Curling Club is a volunteer-run organization, thriving on the generous efforts of our members. The VIP Incentive Program is designed to reward these invaluable contributions, benefiting both the club and its dedicated members.

Rewards: Awards and Prizes:
  • Earn Ballots: Members receive ballots for each volunteer effort, leading to rewards and entries into an end-of-year raffle.

  • Extra Ballots: Gain an extra ballot for first-time volunteering or bringing a first-time volunteer.

  • End-of-Year Party: All volunteers are invited to the year-end VIP party, complete with food and beverages.
  • Monthly Draws: Win $25 bar credits or free ice rentals.

  • VIP Raffle Prizes: At the year-end VIP party, prizes include guaranteed entry into club events, gift cards, and a free season of curling.

Volunteer Opportunities

volunteersEarn ballots by participating in club events and projects, each assigned a level based on time commitment and value.

  • Level 1 (1 Ballot): Help at club projects, volunteer at bonspiels.
  • Level 2 (2 Ballots): Lead learn-to-curl events, volunteer training, assist in youth events.
  • Level 3 (5 Ballots): Lead special club projects, serve on committees, organize bonspiel sections.
  • Level 4 (10 Ballots): Organize bonspiels, apprentice in major roles, serve on the Club Board.


Volunteer of the Year

Recognizing outstanding volunteer work, the awardee gets their name displayed at the club and waived fees for a year.

  • Nomination Process: Submit a two-page written nomination with five supporting signatures from current adult members.
  • Criteria: Leadership skills, involvement in curling promotion, at least five years as a club member.
  • Selection: Reviewed by a committee, keeping nominations confidential.
  • Deadline: Nominations due January 31st.
