Kallos finishes 3-6 at Ontario Scotties

NOTES:
- Kallos defeated Dawna Premo of the host Soo Curlers club 7-6 in an extra end Thursday afternooon.  Earlier Thursday, Kallos fell to Julie Hastings.
- Kallos dumped former champion Sherry Middaugh 8-5 Wednesday night. Kallos scored 3 in the 9th end and then stole in the 10th to secure the win.
- Kallos fell 10-4 to another former champ, Tracy Horgan Wednesday afternoon after defeating Cathy Auld of Mississauga Golf & CC 9-4 Tuesday night.  
- Draw 2 on Tuesday was postponed due to problems with the compressor at Soo Curlers. The draw, which includes the Kallos/Julie Reddick (Blue Water CC) match-up, has held Friday morning.
-Team Kallos opened play Tuesday vs. Allison Flaxey of Listowel CC Monday evening falling 7 to 5. Tied 5-5 after 9 ends, Kallos conceded 2 points for the loss.

- The theme for the provincials this year is "The End of an Era" as this will be the final time that Northern Ontario teams will compete for the right to represent Ontario at the National Scotties. Beginning in 2015, Northern Ontario will have the opportunity to have their own representative on the big stage.
- The Kallos rink finished 3-1 at the Northern Ontario Women's Championship in Sault Ste. Marie to secure one of 4 berths in the Ontario Scotties.
- Team Kallos plays in FWCC's Tuesday evening Open League as well as the TbayTel Major League.
- Tracy Horgan's team recently won a cashspiel in China. Horgan's second is Jenna Enge who resides in Thunder Bay.
- Megan St. Amand of Thunder Bay/Kakabeka is the second on Dawna Premo's Soo Curlers rink
- Nicole Westlund of Thunder Bay is the fifth player on Julie Reddick's squad
